Connor ready for a trip up the back to check the water, and hunt some bunnies (unsuccessfully though)
Living on a small farm can be quite fun and there are many new adventures. This is our story.

News
Life on a farm isn't always roses, and this weekend things were pretty crap.
Yesterday afternoon, we found Daphne down and unwell. We called the vet, and he said the prognosis wasn't good. She died last night sometime between 10 and midnight. This morning I dug the hole and planted her.
We broke the news to Connorand his reaction was "New cow?"

Another weekend
Another weekend, and another raft of jobs done, the guttering is up, and the driveway is laid, and edged! I've decorated both bathrooms, the toilets have been replaced, and Steph has finished laying the stones in the vege bed and been keeping the boys out of my hair!
This weekend, Ronan started on solids too, yesterday he knocked down 1/2 a can of fruit salad, and was caught on camera diving into Steph's banana.
Here's a few photos from this weekend

Some random pictures
We are dangerously close to listing now, a few spots to paint, a couple of curtains to hem, and a 10 ton pile of stones to distribute :-), one bathroom to go and a laundry.
In the meantime, here's some random photos

An update
Well, I've been very lazy about blogging what's been happening, and heaps has happened. As some of you might already know via Facebook, about 2 months ago I resigned from the Metservice, and now I work as a "Senior Research Engineer" for a software development company in Palmerston North called Unlimited Realities. This means that Littlebush is soon to be on the market, hence the frantic decorating. So far we've painted the lounge, redone the kitchen, the master bedroom and currently working on the bathrooms. The guttering has been done, and we're about to redo the driveway too. Hopefully we'll end up with a well presented house that will sell nice and fast. At the moment, I live in Palmerston for 2 nights a week, which sounds like it could be great, but I'm working long hours so that I can have Friday to spend with Connor in the morning and then do more work on the property in the afternoon.
We're hoping to have the farm listed in a couple of weeks, fingers crossed, 'cause I would like to spend a full week with my family, it's been quite a while since I have :-(
